I just got a pair of mollies and put them into my guppy tank.  Is it hard to breed them?  or are they like guppies as in they will do it even if I decide not to breed them?

Mostly, I think that is true. Give them good water conditions, feed well, and watch out. Oh yeah! also do your research. People on this forum will be glad to help.

I have a colony of Black Mollies, started with 2 males, and 4 females.  Pretty much leave them alone for a while and they will start breeding.   If they are old they might not spawn so if you don't see anything after about 2 months look at getting a younger pair.
