As a kid, I kept a 30+ gallon of goldfish for years which led my mom to add a pond to the backyard and begin breeding koi.

Left home and didn't keep fish for years until about a year ago when I purchased a 10 gallon with mollies for my classroom.

The mollies got me interested in livebearers and with the exception of a few corydora and otocinclus, I keep livebearers native to North and Central America: Ameca splendens, Ilyodon furcidens, Poecilia velifera, etc.

I plan to expand my collection and begin breeding some of the rarer species, and I'd like to meet others with similar interests.

Welcome to the group. I also really like North and central American livebearers I have a few types but for what ever reason I can't get mine to breed enough to start new tanks the colonlys are just kind of hanging on right now but maybe in the spring.

Again welcome
